Designer Spotlight: Ippolita Jewelry, plus a special trunk show
On December 10, 1963, the world welcomed Ippolita Rostagno
as, the second child of an American mother and a Florentine father. Both
Ippolita’s father and mother are “vibrant intellectuals with a highly developed
appreciation of beauty and aesthetics.”
Nearly 20 years later, Ippolita (pronounced: ee-POLE-it-ah) immigrated to the United States where she found herself in Los Angeles and started an alternative dance company called Rime. Rime explored the intersection between poetry and dance. Three years later in 1986, Ippolita completed her BA in English Literature, headed to the east coast and landed in New York City. It wasn’t until 1993 that Ippolita started designing her own jewelry; and that’s where it all began.
For more than a decade, Ippolita as a brand has been designing jewelry that even the celebrities can’t get enough of! We found a few faces you might recognize wearing Ippolita pieces.
