About this Designer

Founded by sisters Kim and Nicole Carosella in 2012 and proudly Brooklyn-based, Sorellina is a collection of fine jewelry defined by unexpected harmony, bold dichotomies, and distinct style. With an eye on the past, and a look to the future, Sorellina designs are known for their seamless integration of opposites: vintage and modern, masculine and feminine, darkness and light. The results are unusually now and decidedly timeless, intentionally one-of-kind, and deliberately evocative. They’re bold and beautiful. In short, they’re uniquely Sorellina.

Kim and Nicole grew up of the north shore of Long Island, NY, where they were raised with a deep appreciation for the arts and shared a love of design. After graduating with a Fine Arts degree from USC, Nicole studied Jewelry Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Kim attended Tulane University for Art History, and then relocated to Florence, Italy to continue her studies. Upon Kim’s return to New York, the sisters decided to set the course for their future business. As an homage to their heritage, Kim and Nicole chose to name the collection Sorellina, the Italian word for ‘little sister.'

Sorellina

The Sorellina collection is designed using details popularized in the Victorian & Georgian eras and features a heavy array of hand-cut and inlaid gemstones. The sisters have grown a strong following that appreciates their eye for refined glamour and commitment to sustainable practices, such as crafting with 18k recycled gold, ethical diamonds, and responsibly sourced gemstones.
