Another easy way to spice up a wedding set is to have your center diamond set from east-to-west instead of north-to-south. These stones can be prong set, bezel set, half bezel set, channel set, or even flush set—depending on the level of center stone protection and/or the aesthetic you are seeking.
We are seeing an uptick of half bezel settings in these types of engagement rings. This type of setting allows for more protection than an everyday prong setting, but still shows more of your center diamond than a full bezel setting would offer.
East-west settings add a unique shape to a ring, especially if your center stone is asymmetrical (i.e. a pear shape diamond). When looking for a wedding band pairing, something custom that matches up with the shape of your ring's profile is becoming a popular choice. Our
